Configuration
To finetune the behavior of tadpole, there are a number of configuration options. Each option can be set to either true or false. In most cases, unless mentioned elsewhere in this guide or you know what you’re doing, these are best left at default values.
To set a configuration option, use the config directive as follows:
config validate_symbols = true;Available Options
| Option | Function | Default |
|---|---|---|
validate_symbols | Validates and separates symbols and modifiers in symbol matchers. Must be enabled to use modifiers in symbol matchers. | false |
class_as_string | Converts class matchers to alternativ constructs containing string matchers to allow simpler matching of multi-character symbols without proper symbol segmentation. | false |
strict_match | Treats all symbol matchers as strict match. | false |
loose_match | Treats all symbol matchers as loose match. | false |
fallback_feature_matrix | Constructs a default feature matrix for undefined symbols to allow leaving symbols undefined. | false |
syllables_priority | Assigns higher priority to syllable types listed earlier in a multi-type syllable segmenter definition. | false |
normalize | Normalizes inputs and any symbols in the specification to unicode canonical decomposition form. | true |
combine_features | Allows combining feature bindings of the same name by overwriting default features from previous instances. | false |
